1761 - 1772
Shown as of Farley Hill in her will made in 1761 and proved in 1772. The extant house known as Farley Hall was reportedly built c. 1730 by John Walter, whose relationship to Newton Walter's husband also John Walter has not yet been established. However, in her will Newton Walter nee Walker made clear that the house at Farley Hill which she left to her husband had belonged to her father Alexander Walker and carried a mortgage of £3000. Either the Walker family had purchased the house built by John Walter c. 1729, or it is possible that there were two different houses at Farley Hill referred to under the same name.
