The will of Dugald McLachlan proved in 1797 refers to his sister-in-law as of Gower Street. The will of Mary McLachlan, the widow of Lachlan McLachlan (the nephew of Dugald and Elizabeth McLachlan) refers to Elizabeth McLachlan of Gower Street and specified her leasehold as No. 60 on the West Side.
