T71/1608: letter, dated 28/12/1835, from Mayhew & Johnston, referring to a claim by Samuel Anderson and a counterclaim from John Anderson, of Anspach House, Southampton, Hampshire, also as receiver, mortgagee and in right of his wife as annuitant: 'there has been and is now a negotiation on foot for Mr Samuel Anderson to withdraw his claim', asking 'whether there is any possibility of Mr Samuel Anderson obtaining possession of the compensation money because such formal notice [of counterclaim] has not been given him'.
