My brother Mr Wm Dow having put in a claim for one half, Mr Musson (?) lays claim as a creditor of my late brother Charles Dow supposing he had a share of the said slaves, but he could have none, for he disposed of one half of the Negroes left by my late mother... My brother Wm and self are the only Heirs and persons entitled to receive the compensation money'.

'I have only to pray that you would show this to the commissioners so that the above claims might remain until they hear from me which shall be as soon as I get an answer from Mr JG of Antigua'. Wishes to put in a counterclaim for half of the 11 enslaved persons (under Antigua claim no. 831).
