West India merchant (Colonial - Caribbean)
George Reid and Rev. Philip Castel Sherard were partners as West India merchants in Mincing Lane London from 1810 onwards, agreed to be for seven years.

Born into slavery in Carriacou, Grenada, Malvina Wells became a lady's maid in Edinburgh and a trusted family friend to her employers.

The Buff Bay plantation was a sugar estate next to the Buff Bay River, south of Charlestown in Jamaica. By 1839, the estate was 840 acres.
