David Chollet left shares in the British Cast Plate Manufactory to several nephews in 1781.
Pioneering glass manufacturer whose Ravenhead works (built c. 1773) later became a key part of Pilkington, itself absorbed by a Japanese acquirer in the later 20th century.

Free woman of colour; left Demerara in 1812 as a young woman and settled in Starthforth, Yorkshire, where she died in 1862.
