Collection of Old Masters, formed largely by Richard Hart Davies and bought by Philip John Miles in 1813, with subsequent additons by Miles, especially from the collection of Henry Hope. Dispersed in two sales by Christies, 1884 (Sir Philip Miles) and 13/5/1899 (after death of Sir Cecil Miles).
