Silver, porcelain, metalwork, furniture, paintings. 4,000 items in his collection became the basis for the Holburne Museum in Bath. Probably began when he undertook a Grand Tour in the 1820s, some items possibly inherited, added to the collection over the years. Apparently reliant on an annuity of £500 a year left to him by his aunt Catherine Cussans.
