Notes

  1. The original purchasers of the Lots which became Roxburgh (or Roxborough) were D. Mill & A. Young (19/03/1767) and Archibald Stewart (05/06/1770), under St Paul nos. 5 and 18 respectively; by 1773 Archibald Stewart owned both Lots; 'Present Possessor Hon. James Kirk.' The owner of the estate in 1832 was shown as Sir M. Stewart (presumably the 6th bt., 1788-1836); the estate was still in cultivation in 1862.
