London merchants, which failed 31/12/1793, a decade after the death of Richard Atkinson. The partners at the time of failure were Hutchison Mure [senior]; Robert Mure; and William Mure. George Atkinson (1764-1814) had formed a new partnership of Atkinson, Mure and Bogle in Kingston Jamaica which survived the collapse of the London partnership. |

Jamaican-born widow of a prominent slave-owner; resident in Britain following the death of her husband in 1818. Accused - and acquitted - of the cruel treatment of some enslaved people whom she brought to Britain with her.
