Biography

Ann Breakenridge, beneficiary of a share in the compensation for ownership of enslaved persons on Philip's Valley estate, Port Royal, Jamaica, along with her sisters Mary and Isabella Breakenridge and her neice Eliza Cordiner, inherited from her brother Thomas Breakenridge (all q.v.).

  1. Born in Campbeltown, Argyll, Scotland, baptised 14/11/1779, her parents were John Breakenridge (a provision merchant, died 1800 age 49 years) and Mary Longwill (died 1796 age 39). Died in 1838 age 59 years.
