Biography

Slave-owner on Jamaica, son of Robert Allwood (q.v.). A Thomas Barker Allwood was active in 1857, appearing in the Jamaica Almanac for that year as a magistrate in Hanover and St James.

  1. Robert (born 24/09/1803), John (born 21/05/1805), Thomas Barker (born 28/04/1807) and James Tomlinson (born 16/01/1809), children of Robert Allwood Esquire and Susanna, his wife, were baptised in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, 17/06/1809.
