2nd Jan 1775 - 12th Jun 1849
Henry Tufton, 11th Earl of Thanet, awarded part of the compensation for two estates in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, along with James Walter Grimston, 1st Earl of Verulam (q.v.), presumably as co-trustee,. The estates were owned by the Foster family. The beneficiaries of the trusts held by the two Earls have not yet been identified: the Earl of Thanet was trustee under the will of Joseph Foster Barham II (q.v.) and the Earl of Verulam was related by marriage to John Barham (q.v., under John [Foster] Barham), but no firm connection has yet been established.
