Awarded the compensation for seven enslaved people on Sportsmans Hall in Trelawney Jamaica.

  1. Possibly the Matilda Terrell of Greenwich who was living there at Vansittart Terrace aged 60 Independent with one servant in 1841, and whose will (specifying her as widow) was proved 03/01/1851. A Mary Elizabeth Terrell, daughter of Gabriel and Matilda Terrell, was baptised at St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey 19/08/1811. However, Caribbeana Vol. II Monumental Inscriptions shows a Terrell family of Bristol with connections to western Jamaica.
