Biography

'Mrs Jane Rowland', counterclaimed as executrix (and almost certainly as widow) of Edward Rowland (q.v.), the brother of Gabriel Rowland of Port Royal, for the compensation for the enslaved people on Chatworth estate in Port Royal Jamaica. There appears to have been a negotiated settlement.
