Counterclaimed with Thomas Wirgman (q.v.) for the compensation for the enslaved people on Woodlands in Trinidad, probably as trustees for the creditors of Colonel Edward Warner. Possibly Benjamin Coates, attorney at law of Eyton lodge Leominster in Herefordshire, who died in April 1842.
