Biography

Awarded compensation for one small award in Antigua and another in St Vincent. Unsuccessful claimant as owner-in-fee of Diamond estate in Antigua. Son of Joseph Brown merchant of Antigua (d. 1784) and Mary Weston.

  1. Major Francis Ffrye Browne of the 6th West India Regiment was awarded the Army Gold Medal for Guardeloupe in 1810. He retired as Lieutenant Colonel of the 1st West India Regiment in 1828.

  2. Diamond estate was put up for auction in June 1842, by order of executors and in pursuance of the will of the late Francis Ffrye Brown.
