Biography

The trustees of the marriage settlement of Emily Louisa Struth nee Stracey were awarded part of the compensation for the Prospect estate on St Vincent which belonged to her father-in-law William John Struth (q.v.). Given as Emma Louisa on her marriage to Charles Struth 15/04/1820 at St Marylebone, but as Emily Louisa in the compensation records and in subsequent announcements concerning the sale of Prospect in 1859. Her husband Charles Struth had died by the time of compensation, triggering an annuity of £300 p.a. to his widow under their marriage settlement. She remarried subsequently, apparently twice, first to William Reece junior in Paris 22/09/1834 and subsequently to Charles Cuthbert Harrison.
