Octavius Maitland

Son of Francis Maitland and his wife Ann nee Wright. Inherited a share in Mitcham and Silver Grove estates in trust under the will of his grandfather Andrew Wright on the death of his mother Ann c. 1833. Baptised 14/12/1825 in Kennington, Surrey, when his parents' abode was given as Lambeth. Not identified in the British censuses. An unsourced family tree on Ancestry.com (by purplefrog505) gives his date of death as 28/10/1840 in Jamaica, however there was an Octavius Maitland having children baptised in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, with his wife Christiana in the 1850s.
