James Fotheringham

1804 - 25th Jun 1834


Biography

Slave-owner in Jamaica, apparently resident, first executor and then co-owner of Salt Pond Hut. His executors included Keith E. Fotheringham and Robert Fotheringham, possibly his brothers.

  1. Freemason, Sussex Lodge, Kingston, Jamaica, initiated 11/07/1829 age 25, "merchant".

  2. Memorial inscription to James Fotheringham in Kingston parish cemetery gives his date of death as 25/06/1834 aged 30. The same memorial gives the death of Keith Fotheringham 02/11/1847 aged 32.
