Ralph Peters

1811 - 1879

Biography

Son of Ralph Peters of Southport (q.v.) and beneficiary under the will of his great-uncle, Bertie Enwisle (q.v.).

  1. Left £70,000 on death [aged 67] as bachelor of Southall Park, Southall in 1879. Southall Park appears to have been a lunatic asylum at this time, which might help explain why no trace of Ralph Peters [c. 1811-1879] has yet been found in any census after 1841, when a Ralph Peters aged 30 was recorded at The Retreat Lunatic Asylum, Clapham. His brother, William Henry Peters of Harefield House Lym[p]stone in Devon, left just over £61,000 on his death in 1896.
