Tucker and his wife Mary, are conceivably John Millard Tucker the Bristol surveyor who was appointed Engineer to the Bristol and Exeter Railway and whose will [which is silent on Jamaica property] was proved 27/05/1850 and his wife, who was Mary Parker widow on her marriage to John Millard Tucker in 1825.

Tucker had applied for the post of County Surveyor of Somerset in 1818, when he stated that he had spent 11 years as principal clerk to the land surveyor and engineer William White; PROB 11/2113/403.
