John Miller (of Barbados)

No Dates

Biography

Appears in a list of inhabitants of St John, Barbados, 1774: 126 enslaved (this probably refers to Baldrick's estate - but the capacity in which Miller listed is not clear; see the record for the Haynes Field estate for further details). A John Miller of Barbados was also shown in Hughes-Queree's account of Bate's (later Woodland) plantation as the purchaser through George Newport in 1723 and as deceased by 1788, when the plantation (and presumably the enslaved people attached to it) was sold.
