Alexander Wedderburn

1737 - 1765


Biography

Fourth surviving son of Sir John Wedderburn, 5th Bart. Balindean (see ODNB entry). Alexander Wedderburn joined his elder brothers John of Balindean, James and Peter (all q.v.) in Jamaica in the late 1740s after their father's execution for his role in the Jacobite rebellion of 1745. In 1763 he was resident in the parish of Hanover, where he died around 1765.
