Daughter of David White of Whitehall, Jamaica. Inherited £4,000 in the will of her father. Given that her sisters' husbands claimed compensation for Whitehall estate, this legacy was probably converted into a mortgage on the property. Elizabeth is not named in the compensation process and had presumably sold her share or died before 1834. Nor is she named as an owner in the slave registers where Whitehall and Terra Nova are registered to her sister Frances and brothers-in-law Edward Collins Wright and William Glynne Griffith.
Will of David White of Bristol PROB 11/1299/166.
