Owner of Hampton estate in St James, Jamaica. Deceased by 1800. Shown as of London or of Great Britain 1783-1798, then of Jamaica in 1799. Married Ann Sarah Irving in St James in 1775 (she was a daughter of James Irving the elder (q.v.)). Six children baptised in St James: Elizabeth Matt (1776), John Serocold (1777), Samuel (1780), James Irving (1785), Samuel (1785) and Mary (1786). Two more children baptised in London: William Stephenson (born 1788, baptised 1791) and Thomas Augustus (born and baptised 1791). To date no will has been found for him. Brother of John Jackson of Fulham (q.v.).
