Biography

  1. Will of Samuel Potter of Doward House near Ross Herefordshire [made 13/08/1820] proved 29/12/1821. Under the will he appointed John Graham of Upper Clapton merchant and Marshall [sic] Lawrence Welch gentleman of Wyndham Place as trustees to carry into effect the agreement lately made between Samuel Potter on the one side and on the other James Potter Lockhart of Tavistock Square merchant and Charles Court of Dominica for the sale by Samuel Potter of all his property on the island for £19,500. His widow Frances was to have the income from the estates and then from the proceeds for life, with remainder to their children equally.
