Henry Livingston

Owner of Aleppo estate in St Mary, Jamaica. Deceased by 1772.

  1. According to the will of Henry Livingston, proved in 1772, he bequeathed "unto my Nephews Philip Livingston (Son of my Brother Peter Van Brugh Livingston) Unto Philip Livingston (Son of my Brother, John Livingston), Unto Philip Philip Livingston (Son of my brother Philip Livingston) and Unto Walter Livingston (Son of my Brother Robert Livingston)... all of my land, property, slaves, mules, cattle, etc. in Jamaica." He appointed these four nephews as his executors for his Jamaican property. This identifies him as Henry Livingston, youngest son of Philip Livingston (1686-1748/9 and his wife Catharine nee Van Brug (of Brugh), baptised in Albany, New York, 05/04/1719 who died in Jamaica in February 1772. He also owned land and property in New York and North America, for whom he appointed as executor his brother John Livingston, a merchant in New York.

  2. Very likely the Henry Livingston Esquire who was buried in St Mary, Jamaica, 15/01/1772.
