Biography

'Free mulatto woman' in an extra-marital relationship with Simon Taylor (d. 1813) from around 1778. Mother of Taylor's daughter Sarah Taylor (q.v.). Bequeathed £500 Jamaican currency and some items of furniture by Taylor, who also left Sarah Taylor £1500 and an annuity of £30, and left Sarah Taylor's daughter Sarah Hunter Taylor Cathcart (q.v.) £500 Jamaican currency and an annuity of £50.
