Given as 'Anderson' of Elliot & Anderson, connected with Mount Pleasant estate in Portland, Jamaica, 1809-1811. Suggested by Vere Langford Oliver to be Peter Anderson, son-in-law of Joshua Gillyat, both men formerly of Antigua.
