London merchant, partner with Alexander Donaldson (q.v.). In contrast to his partner, his property at death appears to have been more modest, and his will is simpler, leaving monetary legacies totalling just under £1000 and specific bequests of effects, and making [Sir] Patrick M[a]cGregor, the Royal Physician, his residuary legatee. Administration was granted in 1829 to Sir Patrick MacGregor's brother and executor William Gordon MacGregor.
