Annuitant on Spring estate in Jamaica.
Will of Ann otherwise Anne Basnett otherwise Barsnett [widow of Richard Basnett of Jamaica who died 08/12/1774 at Hammersmith] of Hammersmith Middlesex [made in 1798] proved 26/01/1819. In her will she explained that after her husband's death she had purchased an annuity on her life and that of her niece Penelope Raggett (later Crabb) of £50 p.a., but that it was interrupted between 1779 and 1789 'to my great loss and misfortune' and since then only small sums had been paid.
