Captain Sir John Hill counterclaimed unsuccessfully on Spot Valley in right of his wife for her annuity. His wife was apparently Lucy formerly Barrett: a marriage is recorded for John Hill and Lucy Barrett in 1804 at St Pancras. She, nee Swinburn, was the widow of Joseph Barrett, the son of Wisdom Barrett.
