Biography

Slave-owner on Dominica, owner of Morne Prevost 1817-1823. Possibly the James Johnstone MD of St Joseph's who in 1823 produced a 'certificate' testifying to the beneficial impact of amelioration on the lives of the enslaved people, in which Johnstone said he had been on the island for 32 years.
