Thomas Bower of Bristol

???? - 1809

Biography

Shown as assignee of John Tindall and Thomas Green, planters, in the claim for Inglewood. The attorney for his niece corresponded with the Compensation Commissioners in 1840.

  1. Will of Thomas Bower merchant of Bristol proved 20/11/1809. In the will he instructed £10,000 to be raised for the children of his brother John Bower. Given that legacies of £100 each to two local parishes at Braunton in Devon and in Bristol remained unpaid for some years, it is not clear that this legacy was honoured.
