Biography

Slave-owner and physician in Berbice, shown by David Alston as the co-heir of the Alness estate of George Munro (q.v.), living at Viewmount Inverness and dying in Poplar in 1847.

  1. Administration of the will of Dr William Munro doctor of medicine [formerly of Viewmount] of Inverness [and late of East India Road Poplar] was granted 30/12/1848 to John James Innes and James Innes, creditors. The will does not specify his property but identifies his wife as Eliza Katz or Munro and a step-daughter Helen Philo.
