Son of Theobald Bourke, 6th Viscount Mayo, and his wife Mary Browne. Married Catherine Aylmer, daughter of Major Whitgift Aylmer, before 1741. Died 12/01/1767 at Pall Mall, London. Succeeded as 8th Viscount Mayo 7/01/1742.
John Lord Viscount Mayo was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 90 acres of land in St Catherine and 539 acres of land in St John, total 629 acres. Inherited Aylmers estate through his wife.
