Lawrence Halsted was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 712 acres of land in St Thomas-in-the-East. Possibly the same man as the Lawrence Halsted who held land in St Elizabeth in 1754.
Probably the Lawrence Halsted named in the will of his first cousin Mathew Halsted (written 1726).
