Biography

This man has not been definitively traced. In 1773, John Walker, John Strachan and James Geddes of Edinburgh conveyed to Robert Scott Moncrieffe 1/4 of the 3/4 of a plantation formerly known as Lot No. 10 then as Providence in Courland Bay Division (formerly belonging to Alexander Brown). This estate is identifiable as the estate owned c. 1773 by John Walker & Co., and conveyed to John Anderson (q.v.) in 1804 by a group of devisees of John Walker, several of Edinburgh.
