Emily Providentia Winn

???? - 1834

Biography

In her will Emily Providentia Winn identified herself as the daughter of the late Isaac Lascelles Winn (q.v.), although the latter's will makes no reference to her. It is possible that an undated deed involving her and Isaac Lascelles Winn and others identified by Vere Langford Oliver makes sense of the relationship and the transmission of property between the two.

  1. The will of Emily Providentia Winn [now residing in Brook Street in the parish] of St Lawrance Ipswich [but lately in the Tything of Whistanes near Worcester] [made in 1833] was proved 30/08/1834. In the will she left monetary legacies, including oddly £250 'to the Adelphi Estate', a legacy to the son of Sir William Hillary, and money to Isaac Wynn (described in the will as 'the above-named', although he is not in fact identified previously) on the proviso that neither he nor his family live in the City of Worcester unless obliged to by 'public duty.'
