Son of Henry Jennings of Shiplake (q.v.) and Susanna nee Kent, the co-heiress of the Jamaican slave-owner Charles Kent (q.v.). Henry Constantine Jennings has an entry in the ODNB as' collector' which gives his mother's name but no further detail on her family.
