Biography

  1. Charles Irving Campbell, son of Charles Campbell and his wife Emilia Drummond Campbell (late Irving), born 16/12/1812 and baptised 16/12/1813 in Trelawney.

  2. His father Charles Campbell died between 1826 and 1829. No siblings have been identified. Probably the heir to Charles Campbell for whom George Huie was guardian in 1829 and therefore trust beneficiary for Florence Hall in Trelawney.

  3. Florence Hall was advertised for sale in 1841, a sugar plantation and pen near Falmouth, Trelawney, 809 acres in total of which 125 are in canes and 616 in guinea grass. 120 stock sold with the property. An additional 300 acres of mountain land available. "The labourers, about 200 in number, are effective, well disposed, and comfortably located." However the sale may not have progressed as Charles Irving Campbell died at Florence Hall 30/04/1845.
