Controller of Customs at Montserrat, dying there in 1820 aged 81, and described as a native of Bristol. His namesake Richard Symons Goodall, reportedly his nephew, was in fact his great-nephew. In the will of his sister Elizabeth Adams nee Symons (q.v.) proved in 1830 she left to her grandson Richard Symons Goodall the house and 'several domestic slaves' on Montserrat she had inherited from her brother Richard Symons as heiress at law.
