Thomas Pestell gentleman married Elizabeth Saunders in St Catherine, Jamaica, 05/06/1716. They had two children baptised in St Catherine: Elizabeth in 1717/18 and Hanson Thomas in 1720/21. Neither of these children are mentioned in Thomas's will so presumably they died young.
Not mentioned in the will of Thomas Pestell (proved in 1731), although separate dower arrangements may have been made for her. Another son, Hanbury Saunders Pestell, is mentioned, although no baptism has been found for him.
Tentatively identified as Elizabeth Pestell of St Andrew, widow. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1750. Slave-ownership at probate: 16 of whom 6 were listed as male and 10 as female. 0 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £353 Jamaican currency of which £300 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £0 currency debts and £0 currency plate.
