Elizabeth Broadley (née Bourryau)

???? - 1823

Biography

Annuitant as to £200 p.a. under the will of her brother John Bourryau of Grenada (q.v.). Her annuity was secured on the property he placed in trust, which included his estates in St Kitts, Grenada and Jamaica, with those in Grenada to be sold. Her eldest son was to inherit half the estates in St Kitts, but she appears to have been childless.

  1. Will of Elizabeth Broadley of Blyborough Lincolnshire proved 18/04/1823. She left £100,000, including a legacy of £11,000 to Harriet Spooner nee Luard (q.v.). Her wealth probably flowed from her husband, John Broadley, from a Hull mercantile and land-owning family, as well as from her annuity and from her father Zachariah Bourryau (q.v.).
