Claimant or beneficiary

William Turner, awarded compensation for the estates in Manchester, Jamaica, as co-executor of Edward Owen.

  1. It appears that he was resident in Jamaica at the time of compensation, since there was a request to pay the English executors as opposed implicitly to the ones in Jamaica. No obvious sign of William Turner in the 1841 or 1851 census. No obvious link with James Wright Turner (q.v.), Mary Ann Turner (q.v.), Sarah White Turner (q.v.), William Dutton Turner (q.v.) or Wilton Turner (q.v.).

T71/860: Manchester claim nos. 113, 114 and 222.

  1. T71/1608 Various Papers, letter from Meredith & Reeves re Manchester nos. 113 and 114: Jamaican and English executors: 'it is not only convenient but absolutely necessary that the English executors should receive the compensation to answer the purposes of the will'; 1841 and 1851 censuses online.
