Biography

Elizabeth Ann Lambie of St Ann, Jamaica, widow, successful counterclaimant as an annuitant of £400 p.a. under the will of William Lambie (q.v.) for ownership of enslaved persons in St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica, and also awarded compensation for ownership of 1 enslaved person in St Ann. A share of the compensation for William Lambie’s property was awarded to Edward Bond (q.v.) as her trustee.

No record of a marriage between Elizabeth Anne and William Lambie has yet been found, but Elizabeth Ann Lambie was granted Administration of the will of William Lambie in 1849 as his widow, and his will clearly identifies here as his second wife. No other trace of her in Britain has yet been found.
