Robert French Kirwan

Son and legatee of John Kirwan (q.v.), dying in Chelsea, London Q1 1842. His will indicates that the wealth left by his father has been comprehensively lost by the 1830s.

1. The will of Robert Kirwan [late of Pall Mall and now of 16 Old Steine] Brighton [made in 1832] proved 22/02/1843 was the will of this man Robert French Kirwan, identifiable by his legacies of £10 each to a range of relatives including his brothers Matthew, Nicholas and Thomas and the children of his late brother Anthony. He added a note to his wife and residuary legatee Elizabeth Ann Kirwan commending his relatives 'whose situation in life may make anything you have to leave essential to their comforts.'
