Biography

Son of John William Delap Wilson (1776-1825, who was the son of Richard Wilson or Willson and Margaret Halliday and grandson of John Halliday of Antigua (q.v.)).

  1. There is a memorial at Milford, Co. Hants to John Delap Wilson, who died 06/01/1866 aged 64 years, also his wife Anne who died 20/01/1836 aged 24. 'He died at Bath and was of Milford house. His father was the President of St Kitts, where he died 1825.' His wife Anne-Smith was the niece of Hon Robert Claxton of St Kitts.

  2. Will of John Delap Wilson formerly of Downton in the parish of Hordle but late of Lymington who died at Bath 05/01/1866 proved 31/01/1866, effects under £1000.
