Awarded £2000 of the compensation for Lucky Valley in Clarendon Jamaica with G.G. Wandisford Pigott as trustees of the marriage settlement of Charles Edward Long's cousin Mary with Charles Devon.

  1. Elder and only surviving son of Charles Beckford Long (q.v.), grandson of Edward Long (1734-1813) the historian of Jamaica, and appearing in the ODNB as 'genealogist and antiquary'. 'Possessed of an ample fortune, Long devoted himself to historical and genealogical studies.'
